Kevin K. Barber, Sr. is the Senior Pastor of Baca Christian Center Church located in Richmond, Texas.  Bishop Barber brings the message of the Kingdom, encouraging people that God will provide times of refreshing in the midst of the most difficult times in one's life.

Bishop Barber was licensed as a minister in November of 1990 and graduated from the Full Gospel Fellowship Practical School of Ministry in May of 1992.  He was later ordained in October of 1992 and has continued to proclaim the message of the Kingdom with simplicity and clarity.  He served his early years faithfully under the leadership of his father in ministry Apostle Jerome Nelson, Sr., who installed him as Senior Pastor in 1997, the year Baca was established as a local church.  Bishop Barber has also completed other courses and training as he seeks to be well-rounded in his leadership abilities and faithful in his call as an under-shepherd to God's people.  However, his greatest lessons have been taught by the Holy Spirit and learned through various experiences in ministry as well as through submission to the principle of "sonship" and his willingness to be "fathered" by spiritual authority divinely placed in his life. 

Under the leadership of Bishop Barber, Baca has become a local church that is established upon principles of the Word that teach and display the love of God, integrity and skill for practical ministry.  As a result, believers and non-believers alike are able to begin living empowered and overcoming lives.  He is an excellent teacher, leader and role model in both the community and the local church.  He has a very powerful manner of presentation of the gospel that encourages one to move from mediocrity to excellence.  He is very active in "city reaching" in the Greater Houston area and well respected amongst his peers.  His community involvement includes his service for five years as a board member for Mission Houston, a city-reaching ministry.  He is a co-leader of Pastors in the Richmond-Rosenberg area who are dedicated to the pursuit of unity in the body of Christ as they together endeavor to see the community transformed by the power of God.  His passion for Kingdom building and transformation can be seen clearly in his commitment to building relationships that will help mobilize the resources needed to see God change the city, the nation and eventually the world for good! 

Bishop Barber's apostolic and pastoral calling allows him to be used by God to bring a balance of discipline and genuine love to the believer.  His greatest desire is to see believers living out their faith in the market place as "disciple making disciples", manifesting the Kingdom of God while bringing refreshing to the lives of those they have been ordained to touch. Married in 1982, he serves with his devoted wife and committed ministry partner, Darlene.  They are the proud parents of two wonderful sons; Kevin Jr. and Justin.

One can best describe Pastor Darlene Barber as a woman excited about Jesus, the advancement of the Kingdom of God, and seeing her brothers and sisters in Christ triumphant in every area of their lives.  Darlene was licensed and ordained in 1997 to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  She is an Administrator, Worshiper, Intercessor, and Prophetic Preacher.  She is a servant who teaches the Word in a practical way enabling those who hear to activate their faith and seek to glorify the Lord with their life.

Pastor Darlene oversees the Labor of Love Intercessory Prayer Ministry and J.E.W.E.L.S. Women's Ministry: "Jesus' Elect Women Empowered to Live Sanctified".  She serves as a member on the board of L.I.F.E. (Leaders Inspiring Faithful Endurance) founded by Dr. Dorothy Washington.  In May 2003, Pastor Darlene Barber completed her certification as a Christian Counselor through the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).

She serves as the co-pastor of Baca Christian Center, assisting her husband, Bishop Kevin K. Barber, in equiping a people who will be channels of God's refreshing to the world.  Married in 1982, she is a devoted wife and mother.  They are the proud parents of two wonderful sons; Kevin Jr. and Justin.
