SERVICE AT BACA

We minister to the Lord in worship
Each service begins with prayer and songs of heartfelt worship and praise.
We minister to God's people
We pray for the sick, comfort the hurting, encourage the weak and extend God's love to everyone who enters through the doors of the sanctuary.
We minister the uncompromised Word of God
Each service provides an opportunity to hear the Word of God brought forth boldly and in purity to build up and challenge you as you continue to grow and mature spiritually.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO: Scripture Basis
  • Why do we lift our hands?
Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the LORD (Psalm 134:2).

  • Why does the whole congregation pray at once for specific needs?
So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: "Lord, you are God who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them" (Acts 4:24).

  • Why do we anoint with oil and pray for the sick?
Is any one among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven (James 5:14-15). ...They will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. (Mark 16:18).

  • Why do we speak in tongues and have interpretation of tongues?
For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding(I Corinthians 14:14,15). Therefore, brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and do not forbid to speak with tongues (I Corinthians 14:39). If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret (I Corinthians 14:27).
